Yang Ru is the Head of North China Region for Creative Capital Design Consulting Company. Graduated from Hebei University of Science and Technology with a master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering, majoring in Interior Space Design and Brand Research. CREATIVE CAPITAL, an international branding agency, is the first company to  win the Transform Award, headquartered in Shanghai and with offices in Paris, Shenzhen, Jakarta and New York. Its unique methodology is based on systematic and creative story-telling. The company is working with both prestigious international clients such as LVMH group, Chanel, L’ Oreal group, as well as Chinese  leading brands, such as Aimer or Afu.

Nicolas Cinguino is one of founders of Blank Group. Working in China for nearly 15 years, he is a pioneer in Chinese design methodology and a multicultural design management expert in brand building and development.He specializes in design strategies, Chinese consumer research, user experience design (UED), co-creation workshops, public speaking and cross-cultural collaboration, etc. He began his career in Shanghai as an industrial designer. Two years later, he founded Blank Group, which aims to bring together the best experts and complementary fields to provide the highest level of strategic thinking and creativity in a country that is still exploring the design process. So far, the company has become one of the most agile actor/explorer/dreamer team, able to combine various design disciplines to provide specific, actionable solutions to meet customers’ needs.The company's customers include: 3M, Philips kitchen appliances, Fissler, Fangke, Supor, Midea, BOE and so on.

Tay Ung is the CXO - Chief Experience Officer of UnionSquare, a design studio in Shenzhen, the silicon valley of hardware.

He graduated from RCA London with an MA in Computer Related Design. His career started out at the tender age of 16 as an Industrial Designer. From that point onwards he has been addicted to design. His experiences spans over two decades crossing paths with global companies such as Panasonic, Sony, LG, Apple, Huawei, Ericsson and Cisco - building software and hardware. Along the way he has built several design teams from the ground-up, as well as contributing to innovative new products.

A love for technically complex projects coupled with fast-changing consumer needs and highly competitive business landscape is what drives him to creating better simplified full product solutions for clients that want to solve real business needs. AI, Big Data married with great UX is his core capability.

Victor Declety is CEO and Co-founder of UnionSquare, a design studio in Shenzhen, the silicon valley of hardware. He graduated from ISD France - International School of Design with an MA in Industrial Design, Service and Management. The start of his career began at Harman International China at the Lifestyle Division for Premium Consumer Audio Product working on JBL and Harman Kardon products. Winning several prestigious prizes with the likes of Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award, Red Star Design Award and CES Design & Innovation Award further cemented his love for industrial design products. Joining Fenda Technology two years later, as the Chief Industrial Designer to build a new design team. He directed the team to create the Fenda Brand, OEM products for global clients such as Lenovo, Huawei and Tencent. Since 2016 he has established and built up his design studio - UnionSquare.

Arthur Limpens is co-founder of Shanghai Allocacoc Industrial Design Co.,Ltd., graduated from Technische Universiteit Delft and establishes Allocacoc. He is responsible for developing market and initial sales, and now focuses on ensuring that design is the core of the company's development through the establishment of Allocacoc DesignNest. The company currently employs more than 300 people and has offices in Shanghai (China), Delft (Netherlands), Tokyo (Japan) and Costa Mesa (USA) and sells its products all over the world. Customers include Walmart, OBI, Mediamarkt and Tesco. The company has won awards including the Shell LiveWIRE Award (2012), Red Dot Award (2014), GIO Award (2014), Computex D&I Award (2015), iF (2018) and Outstanding Design Award (2018).

Wei joined Whipsaw in 2014 and has been busy with a huge variety of projects for most of our clients. Prior to joining Whipsaw, Wei worked at Wilddesign, a design firm in Shanghai, where he is from.

Although Wei aspires to the established form-follows-function and form follow emotion approaches to design, he also loves getting out of his comfort zone as a way to learn and enrich himself as a designer. He helped design router for TP-LINK, AI vending machine for Vicki, Slot Machines for Aristocrat, Communication Device for Tait International and others.

Wei graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2014 with an Industrial Design MFA degree. He also has a design degree from Northwestern Polytechnic University in Xi’an China.

Heidi leads the operation department at Whipsaw where she works to ensure seamless communication, collaboration and strategic planning. She was an early contributor to the founding of Whipsaw, having created the organizational and financial structure of the company in the early 2000’s. Prior to Whipsaw, Heidi was an accomplished Industrial Designer and held design positions at Tandem Computers, Index Design, Human Factors ID (NYC) and Kato/Gobe/Hearst. Heidi graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Design Architecture and Art in 1982.
