The first Hebei International Industrial Design Week is the first design carnival event in Xiongan, Hebei. Professor Lou Yongqi has been committed to social innovation and sustainable design practice, education and research, and applied them to urban-rural interaction, education and community innovation. He has launched many innovative projects, such as Design Harvest, NICE 2035 and Shanghai Tongji Huangpu Design Creative Middle School. He was the member of Executive Committee of World Design Organization and vice-president of Cumulus International Association of Colleges of Art and Design. At present, he is vice-president of China Industrial Design Association, and chairman of International Advisory Committee of Vienna University of Applied Arts. His works are on display at Design Museum Finland and Triennial Museum in Milan.
President-elect of World Design Organization
Srini has more than 25 years of professional experience in creative design; user experience design; telecom and wireless product design and development; company formation and venture capital raising; global marketing and sales management; manufacturing and operations. He is a member of various professional bodies, namely WiMAX, WDC2014, Innovations Judge, CES 2012, Usability Panel Member, IEEE, CES 2013. Currently Srini is the President and CEO of LUMIUM, Inc., a creative design company that designs and delivers complete solutions in consumer electronics, smart devices, medical devices, housewares, and UE design for global clients. He has established business partnerships in many parts of the world using his extensive global network of contacts.
World-renowned Architect and Industrial Designer
Masayuki Kurokawa is an architect and thinker. He was born into a family of architects, graduated from Waseda University in Architecture, and got the title “PhD of Art”, which is the only one in Japanese history. Several of his works are collected in Museum of Modern art in New York, the Denver Art Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is currently president of K&K Co.,Ltd. and is the member of Japan Architecture Association, Japan Architects Association, Japan Design Committee, Japan Decoration Design Forum and chairman of the Japan Industrial Designers Association, and holds the position of professor at the Graduate School of Art at the University of Japan.
Director of Design Museum Finland
Jukka Savolainen is the Director of Design Museum Finland. The Design Museum is the National Specialty Museum of Design and it houses the National Collection of Design in Finland. Mr. Savolainen has a long history in the museum and design fields, having forked previously as the Deputy Director and Exhibitions Curator at the Design Museum and as the Director of Research & Information at Material ConneXion in New York. Trained as an art historian at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, his research interest’s span from contemporary design to national design policies and design driven decision making. He has written numerous articles on Finnish Design and global design trends and edited books on Finnish design and acted as a consultant for design events and businesses.
